Tail vein injection during ECG imaging is complex and often unreliable. The INJ ECG Tail Injector is a precision-engineered system that mounts directly onto ECG platforms, enabling accurate, repeatable injections without interrupting imaging.
Compatible with the VisualSonics Vevo series, it is specifically designed for the exact demands of preclinical labs conducting cardiovascular research and in vivo imaging.
The system is optimized for mice but can be adapted for small rats with minor adjustments. No special training is needed — the intuitive design shortens the learning curve, allowing most users to achieve consistent results quickly.

// WHY A DEDICATED ECG INJECTOR?
ECG imaging platforms need a tail vein injector built for them.
Standard mouse restrainers cannot mount on ECG imaging plates such as the VisualSonics Vevo series. To perform an IV injection during cardiac imaging, researchers must remove the animal from the imaging stage, inject manually, and reposition — interrupting anesthesia, ECG signal acquisition, and the imaging workflow. The INJ ECG Tail Injector is the first device engineered to mount directly onto the imaging plate, allowing tail vein injection without breaking the imaging session. The animal stays under controlled anesthesia, body temperature stays stable, and ECG signal is preserved throughout the procedure. An integrated narrow LED illumination strip improves vein visibility — particularly important for dark-pigmented strains such as C57BL/6, where overhead room lighting fails to reveal the lateral tail vein. Compatible with 27–30G needles and gas anesthesia systems.
